Taxis

The cost from Alicante Airport (El Altlet) to the city centre (train station) is about 14.00 - 18.00 €.

Here are some approximate prices from Alicante Airport to resorts around the Costa Blanca. Remember the fares increase slightly at night.

El Campello €30/40
Benidorm €55/65
Altea €70/80
Calpe €80/90
Denia €90/100

Tram

Trams leave regularly to the resorts around the coast. The best place to catch the tram is at the Puerta del Mar stop near the Melia Alicante Hotel at the Marina in Alicante City. Here a ticket can be purchased for a single trip (in Spanish - solo ida) or a return trip (in Spanish - ida y vuelta).

The single tariffs are currently:

El Campello €1.05
Villajoyosa €2.10
Altea €4.20
Calpe €5.25
Denia €6.30

Here is a map of the route.

Important the 'tram' only goes to El Campello station, here you must change to a 'train' which will take you along the coast. The rail line is being updated gradually so it can accept the tram, hence this change being required.

n.b. the time of the next tram is always displayed at the station on a large electronic information board.
